I loved my time in cégep. After a difficult passage in high school, the stimulating environment rekindled my passion for learning, all while developing my autonomy. Those two years were a true stepping stone for me.
It was during my second year of health sciences that I finally found my path. Until then, I didn’t exactly know what I wanted to do with my life. I knew that I wanted to take care of people’s health, but I didn’t know how.
It’s during a discussion between classes that I had with a friend who was studying dietary techniques that I found what I would do in the future. The more questions I was asking her, the more my choice became clear! It’s thanks to her, and all of our conversations at the cégep cafeteria, that I decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nutrition at university.
That’s how I found the way to bring my passion for cooking and health together. 20 years later, I still love what I do as much as ever!
In cégep, I studied cinema within the Arts & Letters program. Being able to grow in an academic environment where I could dive deep into the work of such talented filmmakers from around the world really touched and inspired me.
I came in close contact with the passion that was the foundation of their work, which lead me to see that same passion within myself. The fire inside me really connected with that of the artists I was studying, and it was inspiring.
Another thing that played an important part in my evolution was the social aspect of cégep. The new people that I met, the flow of experiences and the effervescent sensations that I lived widened the frame of what I thought was possible.
It was a really fun time of which I keep fond memories.
